When Peter Jackson was 14 he wanted to become a stop-motion film creator like Ray Harryhausen, so he tried to re-create some of the iconic scenes from Harryhausen's masterpiece The 7th Voyage of Sinbad. During a recent tribute to Harryhausen at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, Jackson dug out his old home movies and showed them to his idol, something he said would have amazed his 14-year-old self.
