Coral reefs may disintegrate by end of century, scientists warn

Carnegie Institution researchers say coral reefs are being overwhelmed by the effects of climate change, and may "disintegrate before the end of the century as rising carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere make the oceans more acidic." (via Al Gore)
